As the new blog facilitator I would like to welcome you to the Plein Air Washington Artists blog!
My name is Robin Weiss and I have been a member for over 5 years now. We have a great group who love getting together with fellow artists and friends to paint outside in the beautiful state of Washington!
I have lived in Washington state for 38 years. I joined the daily painters movement in 2005 and started rapidly improving my painting skills, soon spending much more time working outside from life. I started painting full time in
2008 and have been doing more traveling for plein air painting competitions such as, The Two Rivers, Teluride , Sedona , Central City, Carmel, Lighthouse Art Center and other plein air competitions. I have my own blog called "In Plein Air" where I journal my adventures and try to include tips on painting and traveling with PA gear. My website is Robin Weiss Fine Art I work at the Knowles Studio in Poulsbo and teach workshops in the surrounding area. I love and use M Graham oil paint ! They have an artists spotlight you can view HERE
Our last PAWA paintout for 2019 was "The Holiday Paint In" held in Edmonds, Wa where we got together to eat, paint, hang out and go over the plans for 2020...It's going to be a great year with lots of adventures to come! I look forward to meeting many of you on location and also writing about all the crazy stuff that happens when painting outside! Ha! =]
See you down the trail in 2020!
