Supplies (the lighter the better):
- A carrying case, satchel, bag, backpack (to hold supplies)
- Standing Easel (preferred), pochade box & tripod / or a sitting easel with a stool or folding chair.
- Supports; Primed Canvas, Panels or Canvas Pad (oils or acrylics), Bristol Board Paper pad (for acrylics), Sizes 8”/10”, 9”/12” or 11”/14”
- Brushes, Synthetic, 1-2 large, several Med, 1-2 small size
- Palette – Plastic with a cover preferred
- Paint Colors, 2 reds, 2 yellows, 2 blues (1 each warm and cool), Lg. White, a few earth tones, ocher, sienna, sap etc.
- Pliers’ lightweight – stubborn lids (do not use your teeth)
- Paper towels
- Medium (A Retarder medium is helpful)
- Water container – Large (w/ a handle is handy) with a bit of detergent added to water
- Bring an extra bottle of water if possible
- Small spray bottle for water
- View Finder
- Camera, iPad or Phone camera
- Sketchpad, pencil, sharpener, eraser, or fine tip black marker, &/ or Note pad and pen
- Visor or Hat
- Painting apron
- Water & Snacks!
- Sun Umbrella – Very helpful
Misc.:
- Masking tape, clips, screw driver
- Painting Carrier – Handy but optional as acrylics dry fast
- Small accessory table if needed
Incidentals:
- Gloves, bug spray, sun screen,
- Extra jackets shirts etc. It can ALWAYS get cold!
- Lunch, water, snacks, water, snacks.
