Plein Air Washington Artists are invited to submit artwork to be included in this juried art exhibition. Please follow the submissions guidelines below.
There is no submission fee, and the artist receives 100% of any sales.

DATES: June 3rd - September 29th 2019
CALL DEADLINE: March 24th 2019
ART DROP: Sunday June 2nd 12:30pm – 3pm
INSTALL Monday June 3rd th 11am
OPENING: Wednesday June 5th 2019 5:00 – 7:00pm
PICK UP: Sunday September 29th 1 – 3pm

Accepted work will primarily be wall hung with 2-D
- 2-D maximum size 40” height x 36” wide
- A limited number of work up to 72” wide will be considered
- 2-D works must be ready to install with a hanging wire
- A limited number of 3-D works can be displayed up to approximately 15x 12 x 12
- No work previously exhibited with at this venue
- All wall hung media accepted excluding work that requires electricity

PLEASE FOLLOW THIS! It is time consuming to process documents not labeled properly. EXAMPLE:

Smith_Jane_bio. / resume./ statement doc (all in one document)
Attach up to eight (8) jpegs of available artwork – low resolution to be viewed on line only
Use the following Jpeg format instructions:
- Each Jpeg should be saved at 72 dpi
- Use maximum image size of 1200px on the longest dimension
- Limit each jpeg to a maximum file size of 2MG
- LABEL JPEG WITH YOUR NAME AND TITLE OF ART WORK –
Example: Smith_Jane_Title of Work.jpg
Include an art work list with the following details for EACH jpeg. (Smith_Jane_title.doc)
- Title
- Medium
- Size H” x W”
- Year completed
- Price or Insurance Value if NFS (not for sale)
Attach resume, bio and artist statement regarding this particular theme and exhibition. Please include all this information in one document, maximum pages 3. These documents are for the artist binder. Do not include your address if you don’t want the public to see it. Include any contact info you want your audience to connect to you and your work. Please make sure your name is on every sheet, and you have a heading title.
Era Living Exhibitions:
The artist receives 100% from sales at Era Living locations – no commission is taken. Sales are made directly between you and your client. Postcards are generated for each show and promotional material sent to print and online media sources. Opening receptions are held for each exhibition and artists will be invited by the curator to participate in artist talks.
Art at Era Living is viewed by residents and guests, and the public is invited to view the work. Era Living is a Seattle based company founded in 1987 to provide innovative housing, programs, and service to their retirement communities.
